Enterprise Architecture Consultant, Perth
Evoltra Advisory provides enterprise architecture consulting to organisations in Perth and across Western Australia. We help organisations make sense of their technology landscape, assess proposed architecture decisions, and build the governance structures that ensure technology investments remain coherent over time.
Enterprise architecture is the discipline that connects technology decisions to business outcomes. Done well, it prevents the accumulation of complexity that makes every subsequent technology decision harder and more expensive. Done poorly, or left to individual project teams without a shared framework, it produces a technology landscape that nobody designed and nobody can fully explain.
For many Perth-based organisations, enterprise architecture capability is either absent, fragmented across project teams, or provided by vendors with a stake in the technology choices being made. Independent architecture advice provides a different perspective: one that is not shaped by a preferred technology stack, a vendor certification, or an implementation practice that benefits from recommending complexity.
Our architecture work covers assessment of existing or proposed designs, architecture governance design, integration strategy, and support for platform and technology selection decisions where architecture implications are significant. Engagements are led by senior advisors with deep experience across enterprise architecture in complex organisations, not graduates following a methodology.
What we focus on
Architecture review and assessment
Independent assessment of proposed or existing technology architecture. Identifies risks, gaps, and alignment with the organisation's technology direction before commitments are made.
Enterprise architecture advisory
Ongoing or project-based architecture advisory: target state definition, architecture governance, standards development, and decision support for architecture-level choices.
Integration strategy
Assessment of the current integration landscape and design of a coherent integration approach. Reduces complexity and technical debt rather than adding to it.
Platform selection
Independent evaluation of platform options against architecture, integration, cost, and strategic fit criteria. No vendor relationships that compromise the assessment.

Common questions
When does an organisation need external enterprise architecture support?
External support is most valuable when the organisation does not have dedicated architecture capability, when internal architects are too close to existing decisions to provide objective assessment, when a significant technology decision requires independent validation, or when the architecture function exists but is not providing the governance and direction that the technology landscape requires. External advisors also provide a useful check on vendor-provided architecture recommendations.
Can you review architecture work produced by another firm?
Yes. Independent review of architecture produced by vendors, system integrators, or internal teams is a common engagement. Organisations that are about to commit to an architecture recommendation benefit from a second opinion that is not subject to the same commercial incentives as the firm that produced the work.
Do you provide hands-on architecture delivery or advisory only?
Our focus is advisory: assessment, strategy, governance, and decision support. We do not provide development or configuration services. This keeps the advice independent of implementation incentives and means we are positioned to review work being done by delivery teams rather than conflicted by participating in it.
How do you work with an organisation's existing internal architecture team?
We complement internal teams rather than replacing them. The most common pattern is an external advisory role alongside an internal team: providing independent assessment of significant decisions, challenging assumptions, and bringing experience from similar decisions in comparable organisations. Internal teams often find external advisory most valuable at the points where objectivity is hardest to maintain internally.
